Henry's Journey
Tucker Family
Henry James Vaughn Tucker (Hank) was diagnosed with B-cell ALL, a commonly treated leukemic cancer, at a mere two and a half years of age. Henry's brave fight against cancer included three relapses and a bone marrow transplant. He drew his ultimate strength from sharing his family’s love, playing with his cousins and friends, and wishing for a younger brother, Georgie, who was born a mere five weeks prior to Henry’s death in June, 2007.

During his all to short time with us, Hank grew to be a loving and proud older brother, a dearly treasured friend, and a veritable walking encyclopedia of all things Star Wars, Power Rangers, Sponge Bob, and dinosaurs. He especially loved planning and taking beach vacations with his family. Also known as an avid rocker, Hank reveled in listening to and playing rock music on his drum kit and guitar. This fantastic kid put a smile on everyone’s face and taught the world that we shouldn’t complain or judge, even when faced with insurmountable challenges.
